Astellas Award 2013: The doctor of the year – the third prize was given to István Szegedi, child oncologist and hematologist.
Based on public votes, the Audience Award was earned by István Szegedi, who works at the Clinics of Debrecen. The doctor has been healing children since 1993.
It is the seventh year that The Astellas Award has been given to doctors with the aim of calling attention to outstanding medical successes and good doctor-patient relationships.
