The University of Debrecen is once again organizing its open days for high school students who are about to make their university decisions. On November 20th and 21st, interested parties can explore the opportunities offered by the institution through a variety of programs.
The main venue for the event will once again be the Main Building, but all campuses will welcome visitors. The organizers expect around 7,000 interested parties – graduates, parents, and teachers.
“Although a long time has passed since the start of DExpo, the goal has not changed: we want to create an opportunity for prospective students to make the best decision by providing them with up-to-date information about the university’s educational, training, leisure, cultural, and sports opportunities, after they have convinced themselves that the University of Debrecen is the right place to continue their studies,” Mónika Rőfi told the hirek.unideb.hu portal.
The head of the Event Coordination and Alumni Center, which organizes the central open days, emphasized that all faculties of the university, the Teacher Training Center, the Institute for Sports Science and DEAC, the DExam Examination Center, the Mental Health and Equal Opportunities Center, the University of Debrecen Talent Development Program (DETEP), the dormitories, the colleges, the Student Union, the University and National Library, and for the first time this year, the university chaplaincies will be presented over two days.
Prospective students can get helpful advice from lecturers during presentations and from students at the stands about training, talent development, language exams, study abroad opportunities, benefits, and mental health services. Those who would like to listen in on a university lecture can do so through the open classes.
DExpo buses will transport visitors between the different campuses, allowing them to easily reach all event venues in addition to the Main Building.
Interested parties can already prepare in advance, as the UD Studyversity app provides information about all DExpo events, and the same app also offers a program search menu and a points calculation calculator.
