Over the past five years, the University of Debrecen has purchased fifteen new instruments to support research, development, and student education out of almost HUF 945 million won in a GINOP tender. The Wednesday closing event of the project, which took place online, revealed that the acquisition of the equipment took place in cooperation with the various departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Science and Technology, and the Faculty of Medicine.

Miklós Vecsernyés, dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the professional leader of the project, said that almost two-thirds of the money was spent on equipment for tableting, encapsulation, and packaging of medicines.

“Thanks to them, students can learn how these processes take place in the industry, in the pharmaceutical companies.”

– he explained.

These devices greatly support the upgrading of pharmaceutical technology research and development at the University of Debrecen. With their help, 25 publications have already been published – added Miklós Vecsernyés.
