That’s it – all routes operated by Universal Air to and from Debrecen are being discontinued.
Back in late March, the first scheduled flight from Malta by Universal Air was welcomed at Debrecen Airport with a ceremonial water salute by firefighters. That marked the beginning of the cooperation – which now comes to an end.
The airline announced the news on its social media page, stating that their flights will operate according to schedule until May 30, 2025, but from May 31, all services will be suspended. They apologized for the inconvenience and assured that affected customers will be contacted and refunded. The reasons behind the decision have not been disclosed.
