A young giraffe died at the Debrecen Zoo and Theme Park yesterday afternoon.
According to the available information, the young animal’s death has nothing to do with the lion’s death that was killed by anthrax a few days ago. This time the cause of death was twisted bowel.
The recent few days are really tough ones for the zoo since one of the leopards also died of pneumonia.
István Tishcler, leader of the region’s animal health directorate says that most of the sterilization is done and specimens of endangered species are vaccinated continuously.
