On the day of the birds and trees – on Monday, May 10, 2021 – the chirping of birds can be heard on the DKV trams – the municipality of Debrecen announced.
In addition to the bird sounds heard in the speaker, images of the birds and their names will also be displayed on the TFT monitors.
Passengers will be able to see and hear the birds living in the vicinity of Debrecen on the trams:
“It is a very good thing that on the day of birds and trees these images and sounds reach as many people as possible”
– emphasized Péter Gyüre, assistant professor at the University of Debrecen.
In Hungary, Birds and Trees Day has been celebrated since 1902.
