Oil left on the stove caught fire late Friday night in a second-floor apartment on Poroszlay utca in Debrecen.
The fire spread to the kitchen cabinet and the hood. Professional firefighters from Debrecen extinguished the fire and then ventilated the building.
Twelve people temporarily left their homes for the duration of the intervention, the disaster management informed.
