Hungary’s drug and health authorities have received Chinese vaccine documentation, Péter Szijjártó, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, said on Facebook.
Hungarian experts can now start the process of examining the Chinese vaccine before deciding whether to approve it for use in Hungary, he said. The vaccine’s safety is a matter for experts, not a political or ideological issue, he said. If the relevant authorities give the go-ahead, a contract for the import of the vaccine will be concluded swiftly, Szijjártó added.
