166, mostly elderly, chronic patients have died and another 6,884 coronavirus infections have been found in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Friday, highlighting that 6,176,567 people have been vaccinated so far, 5,883,873 of them in the second, 2,906,959 and they have already received the third dose of the vaccine.
According to the government portal, the number of infected people in Hungary increased to 1,182,922. 36,429 people died and the number of people recovered rose to 968,897. The number of active infections is 177,596. The hospital cares for 6,939 patients with coronavirus, 573 of whom are on ventilators. There are 55,544 people in official home quarantine, the number of samples is 8,768,881.
According to the map of the koronavirus.gov.hu website, most people have been registered in Budapest (200,640) and Pest County (160,219) so far. This is followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (73,337), Hajdú-Bihar (65,084), Bács-Kiskun (63,309) and Győr-Moson-Sopron counties (59,322). The county least affected by the infection is still Tolna (24,758).
