Changeable weather is expected in the first week of September: at the beginning of the week there will still be plenty of sunshine, with temperatures on Tuesday reaching as high as 28–34 degrees Celsius during the warmest hours. Afterwards, showers and thunderstorms are likely in several areas and temperatures will drop slightly, but by the weekend, several hours of sunshine are forecast again, with maximums between 25–32 degrees – according to the forecast of HungaroMet Zrt.
On Monday, after fog and mist dissipate, a few cumulus clouds will form in the west and more in the east, but overall there will be a lot of sunshine. In the northeast and eastern regions, a few showers may develop. The southern and southwestern wind will pick up mainly in Transdanubia. The highest daytime temperature will likely be between 26 and 32 degrees.
On Tuesday, plenty of sunshine is expected with cirrus and cumulus clouds, but cloud cover will increase from the west. In the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms may develop along the western border region, and by evening also in other parts of Transdanubia. The southern wind will be accompanied by fresh to strong gusts. Minimum temperatures will be between 12 and 18 degrees, a few degrees cooler in northern valleys, while maximums are expected between 28 and 34 degrees.
By Wednesday morning, cloud cover will increase significantly, but during the day it will decrease again from the west, with more sunshine expected moving from east to west. Overall, showers, thunderstorms, and then rain can be expected in several areas. Until morning, precipitation is less likely in the Tiszántúl, while by the afternoon, rainfall will already cease in Transdanubia. Winds turning northwest will pick up in Transdanubia. Minimum temperatures will be between 15 and 21 degrees, maximums between 25 and 30 degrees.
On Thursday, mostly sunny weather with cumulus clouds is expected, though high clouds will also be present over the eastern regions. East of the Danube, isolated showers and possibly even a thunderstorm may develop. Winds of variable direction will remain moderate. Nighttime lows will be between 11 and 17 degrees, and daytime highs will generally be between 27 and 30 degrees.
On Friday, partly cloudy to moderately cloudy skies and several hours of sunshine are likely, with showers or thunderstorms possible in some places. The southwest and west wind will pick up during the day. Morning lows will be between 10 and 18 degrees, afternoon highs between 25 and 32 degrees.
