Lavender labyrinth inaugurated in Debrecen

University

A lavender labyrinth has been completed in the botanical garden of the University of Debrecen.

The aim of the initiative was to create a special space that supports people’s spiritual renewal, where, once the lavender grows, it can truly serve as an island of peac,e contributing to the physical and mental healing of patients. The calming effect of this purple-flowered plant is well known and is, for example, also used in aromatherapy.

In the future, the labyrinth may also serve as a venue for group psychotherapy sessions, primarily helping patients of the Oncology Clinic in their recovery process.
