The new equipment helps surgeons’ continuous orientation during the brain tumors and cerebral vascular surgeries. Before the intervention, a 3D picture is reconstructed with the help of MR or CT, so that the exact area to be treated can be located. During the operation, the exact position of the surgical device can be tracked, furthermore, even the smallest lesions can be found. The EU funded equipment is also a great help when taking histological samples.
