At the international congress, university partners can present their research planned for the next seven-year economic cycle of the EU. This year’s CARPE conference is being held online, registration has already begun.

The central topic of the meeting is the university of the future. The plenary sessions will discuss, among other things, the higher education institutions that are changing due to the epidemic, the place of universities in the innovation ecosystem, the possibilities of cooperation between science and society, and the involvement of various social groups in research projects.

An important element of the international relations of the University of Debrecen is the CARPE consortium, which enables the joint planning and implementation of research projects between the individual research groups of the universities. In the years ahead, the importance of programs directly linked to European research funding will increase. CARPE partners with extensive experience significantly help the success of these applications

– László Csernoch, Deputy Rector for Science, told newsek.unideb.hu.

The “Special Interest Groups” (SIGs) established in preparation for the conference examine the overlaps of the research areas of the partner institutions and the possibilities of cooperation. The CARPE “Scientific Field Working Group” on Social Challenges is chaired by Judit Csoba, Professor at the Department of Sociology and Social Policy.

The conference will be organized in the virtual space by the University of Debrecen, which will be available to many more.
