The police caught five people and took another twenty-six to various police stations in Hajdú-Bihar County yesterday.
Three perpetrators were caught in the act of committing crimes and two others were taken into custody on the basis of warrants for arrest issued by the court of Debrecen. Six people were taken to police stations as suspects.
There were three traffic accidents in Hajdú-Bihar County from which all of them resulted in minor injuries.
A 33 year old man was caught stealing a cell phone in a supermarket in Hajdúböszörmény. The perpetrator went to he cash register with two phones, a cheaper one and with a more valuable one. He paid for the cheap one and put the expensive one into his bag. The theft was recorded by the security camera so the police could find him easily. The cell phone thief was taken to the Hajdú-Böszörmény police station where a procedure was initiated against him on reasonable suspicion of theft.
