The Campus Festival in Debrecen has long been a celebrated event, and one of its standout features is the vibrant University Square. Each year, the University of Debrecen makes its mark at the festival with a diverse array of interactive exhibits and activities that engage and entertain attendees.

The second day of the Campus Festival started more slowly than usual, but Danko Jones literally kicked off the party just before 8 PM. Azariah, the festival’s biggest draw, played in front of a massive crowd.

Brains, one of Hungary’s premier electronic music bands, delivered an electrifying performance at the 2024 Campus Festival, captivating the audience with their dynamic sound and high-energy stage presence. Known for their versatility and international collaborations, Brains showcased a range of contemporary electronic styles, making their set a highlight for festival-goers from around the world.
Paddy and the Rats, a band hailing from Miskolc, Hungary, has taken the music scene by storm with their unique blend of Irish punk-rock pub music. Since their formation, they have consistently delivered high-energy performances, captivating audiences both domestically and internationally.
Gayle, the American singer-songwriter, catapulted into the limelight with her hit single “abcdefu,” a raw and relatable anthem that resonated with betrayed and angry teenagers around the world. This breakout track dominated the airwaves last year, marking Gayle as a powerful new voice in the music industry.
The 2024 Campus Festival opened its doors today at 2 p.m. and will close at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 28, but until then there is still a lot going on in Debrecen. During the four days, a total of 295 musical performers await visitors at 21 program venues.
