Flood prevention was ordered yesterday at Hortobágy-Berettyó.
The water level has grown because of the flood waves of Körös River and inland waters. The average rainfall in March was 68,8 millimeters that is much more then in the previous years. On Wednesday morning the water level of Hortobágy-Berettyó was 263 centimeters.
In spite of pumping, the water level at Tiszacsege and its surrounding areas has grown further. At the moment 11 500 acres are flooded. 12 plump establishments are working in Tiszántúl to divert the inland water into reservoirs.
