A fatal accident occurred near Répcelak. Three people were killed in the crash, including a child. Rescue operations are under way on the M86 motorway with a total road block.
A lorry of Polish nationality was travelling on the M86 motorway towards Szombathely in the morning hours of 19th June. The car behind the lorry, also of Polish nationality, drove into the lorry from behind due to as yet unknown circumstances.
In the accident, the man and woman in the car and a child were so seriously injured that they died at the scene.
Another child in the car was seriously injured and was taken to hospital by an ambulance helicopter.
Two rescue helicopters also arrived on the scene. The accident happened on the Szombathely side. Drivers heading towards Győr also have to slow down because a fire truck is parked in the inner lane.
A complete road block is in place near the scene, and the traffic is under police control. The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
