Spanish Prize Goes to Hungarian Academic

University

Ferenc Joó, academic and teacher at the Faculty of Physics and Chemistry (University of Debrecen) was honoured with Gamboa-Winkler prize in Spain this September.

The prize goes to different academics every year chosen by Real Sociedad Espanola de Química (RSEQ – Spanish Royal Association of Chemistry) and Society of Hungarian Chemists. It was named after the Spanish chemist, José Miguel Gamboa Loyarte and the Hungarian academic, Lajos Winkler.

In 2011 another Hungarian academic, Katalin Kövér received the prize.
